Abstract

The transformation of Islamic education in the digital era faces complex challenges but also offers significant opportunities for innovation. This study explores key challenges in technology adoption, including infrastructure limitations, lack of digital competencies among educators, and ethical issues related to technology use. Additionally, the study identifies opportunities such as enhancing learning quality through interactive media and blended learning approaches, which can enrich the learning experience without compromising Islamic values. To address these challenges, collaboration among government, private sector, and educational institutions is needed, along with training programs that support educators in effectively integrating technology. Developing high-quality digital content and ethical policies is also crucial to ensuring that digital transformation remains aligned with Islamic principles. This research provides guidance for policymakers and educators to create a more adaptive, innovative, and responsive model of Islamic education to meet the needs of learners in the digital era.
